How do we currently use the money?
At the moment we collect money for the 2-weeks rehabilitation stay in "Zabajka" http://zabajka.home.pl/ in Stawnica (PL). We have received confirmation of the booking for the stay in January 2012. The cost amounts to 4.900 PLN. It is a lot, but from what we know from other parents of children with PWS, it is really worth it. Children after such rehabilitation gain a lot of extra energy and it is easier for them to achieve further skills and improve their physical abilities (currently, our Natalia, at the age of 14 months, learns to crawl).
How can I help?
Due to her illness, Natalia needs and will need during her whole life a constant care of many specialists: a neurologist, endocrinologist, dietitian, speech therapist, psychologist, orthopedist and a dentist. Financial help will also be needed for:
rehabilitation trips
special classes in order to support her development
covering the costs of so called “integrative kindergarten”
her additional physical activities, etc.
We estimate the monthly costs for 3.000 PLN.
Of course, we use the means offered by NFZ (polish national health security institution), but the public service, does not provide it to the extent that is required by the needs of our daughter. Among others, unfortunately public funds do not cover any participation in specialized rehabilitation stays. In addition, growth hormone treatment is reimbursed only until 18 years old, and should be continued the whole life.
Every zloty counts because we will be fighting against the disease of our daughter her whole life.

During the year, you can donate.
Polish Individuals can deduct from taxable income to 6% of its annual income. The company to 10%. You can make a few donations during one year. You can pay even 1 zł on account of the Foundation „Zdążyć z Pomocą” (=how to help pn time).

Then, keep proof of payment and the settlement of the tax year recognize all donations in the form PIT, thus decreasing the tax base for tax purposes by the amounts of donation.

Please be informed that Natalia is registered in the Polish Foundation “Zdarzyc z Pomoca” (= to help on time) and has her own account.
Unfortunately, no specific tax explanations (tax deduction) can be given on our website for people transferring money from abroad since it’s a matter of local tax law. We have however some friends abroad, who support Natalia in the following way – it would be great if you could join them!

In addition, we are both runners and train a lot during the year and participate in several running events, including marathons. P.S. Actually it’s an obvious issue but all the means that are on the account of Natalia (written above), can be used exclusively for her rehabilitation. The Foundation itself keeps control based on all the documents that we must provide.
